Kelley’s 2013 challenges and 2012 wrap up.

So, I’ve been kinda bored with all of the wrap up posts that have been hogging my Google Reader lately, but at the same time I feel like I should acknowledge what I did this year. Which is, in a word, nothing. I missed my Goodreads goal of 95 books by 25 books. And I failed the Contemporary Challenge (maybe?) mostly cause I realized I don’t really know what constitutes a contemporary book, and I don’t really like contemporary books anyway! I really do think, though, that rereading Wheel of Time at the beginning of the year is what made me miss my Goodreads goal. Those are some honkin’ long books, and they took up the first quarter of the year! …And then I reread the last 4 again in November/December.

2013 challenges:

1) Goodreads Challenge. I set my goal at what should be an easy 90 books, if I don’t decide to reread WoT yet again after the last book comes out IN FIVE DAYS. Which I might.

2) Audiobook Challenge. PIECE OF CAKE. Most of what I read lately is audiobooks, so I should be able to handle this one without even trying, giving me a confidence boost! My chosen level is Married-Listen to more than 25 Audio Books.
hop
3) 2013 Mythology Challenge. This one should be fun cause I like mythology. However, if I run out of books and it comes down to suffering through a mermaid book, I’ll probably fail this one. 10 books is the goal here.

2013 Outdo Yourself Reading Challenge hosted by The Book Vixen 4) 2013 Outdo Yourself Reading Challenge. Yeah, I failed my 95 book goal for last year, but I at LEAST can do more than 70 books this year! Going to shoot high, my goal will be Breaking a sweat ā€“ Read 11ā€“15 more books.

As always, my challenge status will be updated on my challenge page.

I like these…where did you find the various challenges?…You know, for mythology, you can always reread that Edith Hamilton one again šŸ˜‰

Ooh, and your Daughters of Rome over there in the currently reading looks neat…
