The Weird Sisters by Eleanor Brown

So this book, a selection my for teacher book club at school, was not what I expected. (Not sure what the rest of the group thought of it since I missed the meeting, but since Cutting for Stone was a hit, WHO KNOWS!)

I thought I’d love a book about a Shakespeare-obsessed professor and his three daughters named after the Bard’s characters. On the whole, it was blah. No real plot development except some minor romances for the daughters and medical dramas with mom, which, shocker!, all resolve with a predictable happily ever after. Overall, the characters were one-dimensional and there were also weird shifts of POV when I couldn’t tell which girl was narrating. UGH. Not a fan.
