Shelf Candy Saturday – A Toss Up

So, I couldn’t decide which “Shelf Candy” book to add today, so I’ve decided to do two. The first is already released for Kindle, but sadly, I fear the beautiful cover will lose some of its brilliance in b&w. Still, it’s a 99 cent Kindle purchase right now, so even though it won’t be this gorgeous green, and is part of yet another series (which I strictly promised myself I would not get tangled up in anymore), and might not even be my kind of book at all, I think I might need After Eden by Katherine Pine just because of the cover art.

The second one I’ve been seeing on a lot of book blogs lately and it totally does seem to be my kind of book. I’m eagerly awaiting Cinder by Marissa Meyer, which is also part of series, but this one is a set of revisionist fairy tales (the second one is based on Little Red Riding Hood) and I think I’m totally buying in. And, it should be released in early January just in time for my birthday…hint, hint.

These are definitely two eye-catching books I can’t wait to get my hands on. Thanks to Five Alarm Book Reviews for this fun Saturday meme.  I’m totally a “judge a book by its cover” kind of girl, as much as I’d like to say otherwise, so this is perfect.

Both are a bit dark and creepy. I love that! I am reading Cinder now and it is awesome. Thanks for participating in Shelf Candy. Great picks!
