Talking as Fast as I Can: From Gilmore Girls to Gilmore Girls and Everything in Between by Lauren Graham

Talking as Fast as I can: From Gilmore Girls to Gilmore Girls and Everything in Between is a light, somewhat inconsequential celebrity memoir that I nevertheless relished because I adore its author, Lauren Graham. As Gilmore Girls is one of of my all-time favorite shows, this firsthand account by one of the stars of the original show documenting her feelings during its historic reboot was refreshing and enjoyable. The writing and content were nothing exceptional, and there were no shocking insights about the sets of GG or Parenthood, but this was definitely a quick fun read where I could truly hear Graham’s voice emerge.

I didn’t love this book to be honest, but I also didn’t hate it; I simply enjoyed the chance to spend just a few more moments in Stars Hollow with one of my two favorite Gilmore Girls. I also hadn’t realized before this that “Lorelai” had written fiction as well, so one of her other books may be on my TBR for later.
